Jeon and Makgeolli 전과 막걸리
Previously, I introduced chi-maek as one of Korea's representative food cultures.
Here is another representative food culture: jeon and makgeolli.
This culture has existed since before Korea.
Both jeon and makgeolli is Korea's traditional food and alcohol.
It is a culture that everyone likes, young friends and old middle-aged people alike.
You can buy pancakes at the market, but there are also shops where you can eat them.
We call it 'Jeon house' or 'makgeolli house.'
So, how was that called in the old days? It's called a 'Jumak'. it mean tavern.
You can think of it all as the same meaning.
Here, we enjoy each day drinking makgeolli together.
If you like Korea and want to play with Koreans, I think it would be good to know this culture at least once.
