Korea's religion is classified into three major religions.

 

 

Christianity, Catholicism, and Buddhism have the largest number of Religions.

 

Among them, Buddhism is one of the oldest religions in Korea.

 

 

Thus, the Buddhist temples also contain a great deal of historical relics.

 

 

 

Gangnam is famous for the most expensive land in Seoul.

 

 

 

Here is a temple in Gangnam, which is called Bongeunsa Temple.

 

 

 

It was first established in 794, and was officially named Bongeunsa in 1562.

 

 

As it is an old temple, it has a deep history.

When Japan invaded in the 1600s, most of the facilities were destroyed and restored.

However, most of them were burnt down during the invasion of China in the late 1600s, but were restored in 1852.

unfortunately Most of them were destroyed during the 1950 Korean War again, but restoration work also was carried out later again.

 

 

The reason why I recommended Bongeunsa is

First, as I explained earlier, the history is so deep that you can see various facilities and artifacts.

Secondly, Bongeunsa Temple is famous for its red plum blossoms, so it is also a good place to visit for a short walk.

As it is the third most famous place, there are various resting places inside the temple and there are also experience spaces.
