In Yeouido, 'do' means the island in English.
In other words, Yeouido is an island.
Yeouido is an island in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

It is an island on the Han River and becuase it is placed home to many financial companies, so it is famous for its 

high land prices.  But we don't have to worry about that because we're not going to live here and we just come to play.

This is also where KBS is located, so you can see a lot of celebrities while passing by. 
When I was young, I always looked around to see if there were any celebrities nearby when I passed by Yeouido.

 

 

Park

 

Since Yeouido is located on the Han River, the park is well constructed. 
If you are tired of walking around too much, I recommend it because there is a place to rest.
Yeouido is a perfect place for you to hang out for a day.
