The cathedral was built over 23 years during the Japanese colonial era period.

The architect was Father Pwanell, who built Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul.

 

 

It was the first Romanek-style building built in the Jeolla region.

 

 

 

The building, which was built using gray and red bricks, looks similar to Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul, and is considered one of the most beautiful Catholic churches in the early days.

 

 

It is a mixture of Byzantine and Romanesque styles and is one of the most beautiful buildings in Korea.

 

This building is located in Jeonju Hanok Village.

 

It is now widely known as a place to take pictures, but it is still a church where worship services are held.
